Preparing for Coccygectomy Surgery

I must admit I’m pretty nervous about having my tailbone, also known as the coccyx, removed on December 4th. The biggest risk of the surgery is infection due to the location of the incision. It’s hard to find much information related to coccygectomy procedures since it’s fairly rare. But what information I’ve found has yielded some useful information. I’ve purchased a walker from Amazon.com and a padded raised toilet seat. I’ve also purchased Hibicleanse, which I still use has a body wash to help prevent infection. I will definitely post more information about this journey in the hopes that I can help someone else going through this painful disease of coccydenia (pain in the coccyx).
