I have only lost 5 pounds net over the last 30 days. Work has been incredibly stressful, and I am finding myself falling into the old patterns of behavior that initially caused me to gain the weight in the first place. I am finding that my mind is making excuses and my behaviors are following suit. For instance, my mind is telling me that it is okay to eat unhealthy because I deserve it for dealing with so much stress at work. Even though deep down inside I know this thinking is not correct, for some reason my behaviors are following my mind, and not my brain. I don’t know why losing weight is so difficult. Weight Loss Update – Down 75 lbs!

I wish I would have started journaling my weight-loss efforts a year ago when I start on this arduous journey. I’m only half way to my goal weight of 180, so I’ll just start today. My all-time high was 327 lbs. You’ll see my transformation thus far in the picture below. From 327, to 252. It hasn’t been easy, and it’s taken a lot of dedication and hard work, but I’ve never had a problem with either one of those once I put my mind to it. My Eating Plan

When sharing my weight loss success with others, I am often asked “What is your secret?”, “What kind of diet are you on?”, “Are you hungry all the time?”. I’ve had to find a system that holds me accountable. I am using a program from mynetdiary.com on my Android phone that allows me to log all of my food for the day. I log every single food I eat, even if it’s one or two potato chips. A few features that I really like: I told the program what my goal weight is, and the program automatically calculates my caloric needs based on my activity level.
